How to Have Your Best Author Visit!

  1. Print the Author Flyer ahead of time to either send home or post around the school. This generates interest and excitement for the children.

  2. Make sure book order information is sent out 1-2 weeks in advance so that students can bring their books to school for signing.

  3. The children tend to get more out of Q&A if they've spent some time writing down possible questions beforehand. Then on the day of the visit, they can either read their question aloud, or questions may be put in a container for me to draw from.

  4. Presentations last about 45 minutes each. Teacher attentiveness really helps create a smooth, attentive audience!

  5. Ideally, the book-signing time will take place after the presentations.

  6. Prep for Tech Needs:

  • A projector to enlarge the book pages while reading aloud

  • Ability to connect my computer to show a PowerPoint presentation

  • Mic if needed for assembly

My New Childrens Book!

MISS PRIM GOES WILD

Come and see!

With alliterations that roll off the tongue, whimsical illustrations, and timeless messages, Miss Prim Goes Wild is perfect for under a shady tree. Miss Prim’s change flows into her journal in the back of the book, where she studiously takes notes about the wild ways of nature that she’s come to love, and teaches children how to watch the wild grow in their own back yards.
